Union J have opened up about their constant comparisons to former X Factor boyband One Direction, claiming that the comparisons between the two are unfair. Union J state that they have achieved a fraction of what One Direction have, so the comparisons are ridiculous.

One Direction
Josh Cuthbert told Digital Spy, “We don't have the record sales and the millions of fans. You can't even compare us to One Direction, they've done so well. We've got to concentrate on getting the first song right.”
Despite not wanting to be compared to One Direction, it is expected that Union J could have as big an impact on the music world as One Direction have. There is no doubting their potential and boybands are currently all the rage so they certainly have a chance of achieving some of the success that One Direction have.

X Factor UK judges 2012
