Emily Deschanel stars in Bones
Actress Mary Jo Deschanel has been in the entertainment industry since the 1960s and has appeared in a huge amount of television shows and movies over the years, giving us some very strong performances along the way. We might not have seen Mary appearing in anything for the past couple of years but she has had a long and successful career, which has surely benefited her daughters.
The oldest Deschanel daughter is the beautiful and talented Emily Deschanel, who is now 38 years old and has been in the acting industry since the 1990s. While Emily has appeared in plenty of television shows and movies of her own, it is fair to say that she is probably best known for her role as Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan, in the hit television series Bones, appearing in 205 episodes of the show between 2005 and 2015.
Zooey Deschanel has enjoyed success
Finally we have the younger Deschanel sister, the 35-year-old Zooey Deschanel, who is arguable the biggest name in the family these days. Zooey has probably become best known for her playing Jess in New Girl, as well as appearing in a number of movies and television shows along the way. As well as that, Zooey Deschanel is also one half of the music act She & Him, along with the talented M. Ward.
