There is always going to be a huge debate about which superstar is the best player in the world, with the debate always coming back to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and the two will no doubt forever be compared to one another. One of the arguments that the pro-Ronaldo fans will always throw up, is the fact that Messi has never left Barcelona and has enjoyed the simple life, whereas Ronaldo has proved himself in the English Premier League, which is regarded by many as the best league in the world.
Well, if the recent rumours are to be believed, then we could we be about to see Lionel Messi finally deciding to bite the bullet and prove that he does have what it takes to succeed away from Barcelona, although it may well be a decision that is taken out of his hands. According to the recent rumours, we could well see Lionel Messi heading to the English Premier League in the near future, with Chelsea FC being the destination of choice.
According to a supposed insider, "Lionel is very much a family man and Antonella has expressed her desire to move to London. She has been there a few times and loves the place. Antonella is very good friends with Daniella Semaan (Cesc Fabregas girlfriend) so she has been urging Leo to try for a move to Chelsea."
Obviously this is far from being a done deal, as Barcelona are not going to simply let their star player walk away without some big money being involved. For Chelsea to sign Lionel Messi, they would have to smash the world record for transfer fee, as well as pay him staggering wages, but it would certainly be well worth it. Watch this space!
