Actor Richard Jenkins is well-known for his role as Dr. Richard Doback, the father of Dale played by John C. Reilly in the hit comedy film Stepbrothers (2008), also starring Will Ferrell and Mary Steenburgen. Richard is known for many roles that he has played through the years in popular films and has become popular for his supporting roles.
The past few years have found Richard with a full plate in his acting career has he has appeared in Eat Pray Love (2011); Let Me In (2011); Hall PSS (2011); The Rum Diary (2011); Liberal Arts (2012) and Cabin in the Woods (2012). He played the role of Jed Lewis in the film The Company You Keep (2012) with acting greats Robert Redford, Sam Elliot and Stanley Tucci in the story of a former weather underground activist who is on the lam, hiding from a journalist who has figured out his identity in this drama thriller.
Jenkins has recently appeared in the role of Raphelson in the drama film White House Down (2013); and also starred alongside of Adam Scott in the movie A.C.O.D. (2013); and supplied the voice for the character Bobby in the animated film Turbo (2013). He is also scheduled to appear as Henry Kittridge in four episodes of the TV mini-series Olive Kittridge (2014).
Richard is a powerful actor in demand and he has been active in several upcoming films including One Square Mile (2013); Lullaby (2013) and God's Pocket (2014), which have all reached the completion stage. He is set to play the role of Chicory in Bone Tomahawk which is in the pre-production stage and is slated for 2015.
