Odette Annable attended the Oscar awards to watch her colleagues and left with her image enhanced as she made an appearance that has some entertainment observers and filmmakers looking at her as not just a leading lady talent but someone with 'star' ambitions. 
She wore a black and gold Monique Lhuillier dress and showed her colleagues how a Hollywood leading lady dresses when the world is going to be watching including some of the filmmakers who can make a career by putting someone in a star role in their movie (Just Jared - February 23).
"The Truth About Lies" star mesmerized fans and some fashionistas with her style at the Oscar awards and in looking the part of a Hollywood leading lady superstar literally leapfrogged over some other actors because she showed a willingness to 'play the game' of looking the part of a film star.
Some entertainment observers in talking with their contacts, many of whom are noted filmmakers indicated that one of the things that prevents some actresses from becoming leading lady stars is their desire to be a fashion rebel on the red carpet of their premieres. Some actors forget they are representing the film and those associated with it and not just themselves and some filmmakers who want the great film also want someone willing to promote it so that almost everyone will want to see it.
She seems to understand this and her maturity combined with her impressive acting performances in the television show "Banshee" and the movie "The Truth About Lies" have resulted in her becoming a very 'hot' name with some entertainment observers and will likely result in her being discussed for some leading lady roles in some high profile acting projects.
