Actress Nina Dobrev has become a household name around the world, thanks to her portrayal of the characters Elena and Katherine in the hit The CW series The Vampire Diaries. The show is now in its fifth season and things have gone a bit dark in recent episodes.
Nina Dobrev struggled with the scenes
There are a number of scenes which involve the dark society and, in an upcoming episode we see a number of flashbacks which are less than pretty. Ian Somerhalder has described some of the upcoming scenes as "brutal" and "crazy", while Nina Dobrev struggled with them.
Nina has admitted that she could not bare to watch the scenes being filmed, saying that she thinks she will struggle to watch them on-screen too, "It was disgusting. I’m not good at that kind of stuff and I hated watching it. I’ll probably have to close my eyes when I watch it on TV," explained Dobrev.
