Actress Nina Dobrev has enjoyed quite the successful career in the acting industry to date, with a lot of that success coming off the back of her role in the hit The CW series The Vampire Diaries. Nina decided to quit her role on The Vampire Diaries after season 6, but it now looks like she may well be returning to Mystic Falls for the upcoming eighth season of the show.
It was confirmed at the San Diego Comic Con, that The Vampire Diaries season eight will be the last in the series and will finally bring the show to a close, after eight successful seasons. Now, showrunner Julie Plec has claimed that we will see Nina Dobrev coming back for at least the series finale, after the actress admitted she would be happy to say a proper farewell to her character.
Julie explained, "Nina has always said that if there’s something for her to do in the series finale that she will be there to do it, When she left, she said, ‘I want to see this character to its end at the end of the show, so I can’t wait to come back and put her to bed again."
While the hard core fans will be devastated that The Vampire Diaries is coming to an end, there are others who feel that the show has overrun its course and should have ended a couple of seasons ago. Whatever your views, The Vampire Diaries is now coming to an end and we are looking forward to seeing how they will bring the series to a close.
