There are a lot of high-profile celebrity couples in Hollywood these days, with most of them getting together after working on a project together, whether it be a television show or a movie. While some of these relationships do go on to last a long time, a lot of them break down once the couple stop working together.
Hollywood couple Morena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie met on the set of The O.C. many years ago, but the couple almost missed their chance, after Ben turned down Morena. Fortunately though, the couple met again many years later, on the set of the hit series Gotham, and this time the actor was not stupid enough to let her go.
During a recent interview, McKenzie revealed, "I apparently blew her off. So I'm thinking, 'What kind of idiot would blow off this gorgeous, beautiful, sophisticated, intelligent, successful woman?' Then I thought of what kind of boy I was at 25, and [I was] that kind of idiot."
Fortunately the couple saw their lives crossing paths again down the line and this time Ben McKenzie was not going to let Morena Baccarin pass him by. Now, the two stars are married and have a beautiful baby together, and Ben is clearly loving fatherhood right now.
McKenzie added, "I'm a lot more easygoing as a father. It's great. I'm loving it. It's a joy."
Some of us are not as lucky as Morena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie, so if that person comes into your life, it is probably best to take the chance the first time around, as you are not guaranteed to get another chance.
