With the popularity of video games ever increasing, it is no surprise that we have seen Hollywood trying to take advantage of the gaming community over the years, by making big screen adaptations of some of the most popular video games around. While most of these adaptations have failed to really hit the mark, there is one movie franchise that, despite negative comments from a lot of the gaming world, has proven very successful at the box office, and that is Resident Evil.
Actress Milla Jovovich has played the role of Alice in all of the Resident Evil movies and she is preparing to say farewell to the character for good, when she hits the big screen as Alice for one last time in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Production on the movie is now complete and Milla has now taken the time to tease the upcoming first trailer for the film.
Jovovich took to her official Instagram account to post a picture of herself with co-star Ruby Rose, along with the caption, "Just found this killer pick from the RE set with the awesome @rubyrose taken by our sweetheart @iamfraserjames last year during production. That was a long, but amazing night! Trailer is coming soon I hear, I can't wait to see it!! #residentevil #finalchapter #ladiary."
As well as starring Milla Jovovich, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will also feature such familiar faces as Iain Glen, Ali Larter, Ruby Rose, and William Levy, while it has also been rumoured that Michelle Rodriguez could also make an appearance. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and is set to hit the big screen on January 27, 2017 in the US, and February 24, 2017 in the UK.
