While we do tend to put celebrities up on a pedestal and see then as almost being more than human, they are actually just like the rest of us and do things that we all love to do, such as holidays. There are plenty of us who love to spend a break in the Maldives and there are plenty of celebrities who love the destination too, and here we take a look at a few of them.
Michael Phelps has enjoyed the Maldives
Olympic swimming legend Michael Phelps is a star who has been seen enjoying some down time in the Maldives on a number of occasions, taking in the Sun, enjoying the beautiful beaches and showing off his swimming skills in the sea. Michael headed to the Maldives following the last Olympics in London back in 2012 and we have no doubt he has been back there since.
Another star who seems to have some love for the Maldives, is Hollywood actor Rob Lowe, who clearly does not mind the 20 hour trip to get to his holiday destination of choice. While Rob is currently a very busy actor, with a very busy schedule, we expect that he will return to the Maldives when he finds the free time to do so.

The stunning star Dita Von Teese is another who has enjoyed the lovely Maldives, spending plenty of her free time there over the years. With he naturally pale skin, you would probably expect Dita to vacation somewhere less sunny but the star is always sure to cover herself in SPF 50 sunscreen. Safety first people!
