There have been quite a few people in recent years, who have voiced their concerns at the lack of originality in Hollywood over the course of the past few years, but it seems that their noise is falling on deaf ears. We have had so many different reboot, remakes, prequels and sequels in recent years and it looks like we are getting even more coming our way in the near future.
One such movie reboot, which really does not need to be done ... AGAIN ... is the new planned Friday the 13th reboot, which will bring us yet another new version of the original story of Jason Voorhees. With Michael Bay on board as a producer for this latest reboot of such a classic horror movie, we could actually see more action scenes and explosions, which will make this a huge flop.
The Friday the 13th reboot is still in the scripting stages at the moment and we have yet to hear any news about when production will begin, but they are going to have to get a move on if they want to complete the project in time for their planned release date. Friday the 13th is aiming for a January 13, 2017 release date, so shooting will need to start in the very near future.
Meanwhile, there has not been any casting news for the project yet, so we are expecting that we will get to hear some Friday the 13th casting news in the near future. We cannot see any big name stars wanting anything to do with this project, which has been done to death now, so expect some up and coming talent to be involved. We will keep you posted!
