Braveheart superstar Mel Gibson has become one of the biggest, best and most talked about stars in Hollywood over the decades, working on some very big movie projects indeed, showing time and again just why he is such an in demand star. As well as enjoying a long and successful acting career, Mel has also enjoyed success behind the camera, directing some sensational movies along the way.
While Mel Gibson is one of the biggest superstars on the face of the Earth, he has been talking about what his life would have been like if he had not had the success in his acting career. Mel says that he is a big lover of food and loves to cook for people, so maybe if he was not involved in the acting industry, then he would most likely have been a chef.
Gibson was chatting to Extra about his career, revealing the interesting career option, "I'd be a chef. I can [cook]/ I like making a Malasian soup called a Laksa. Of course you can't sit down the next day," he said, before then going on to talk about his biggest guilty pleasure, "Man I love chocolate but I can't do that, I'd balloon out," added the superstar.
It is surprising to think that Mel Gibson has only ever been nominated for an Oscar twice, winning both times way back in 1996. Now though, Mel has been nominated for the Best Directed Oscar, for his fantastic movie Hacksaw Ridge, with many people tipping him to add another, long overdue, Academy Award to his collection.
