English Championship side Doncaster Rover must be wondering what they have done to get so lucky recently. The football club have managed to take advantage of having a celebrity supporter, by getting the fan involved in one of their reserve matches and boosting their ticket sales for the small game.
There has been a lot of talk for the past few months now, about One Direction star Louis Tomlinson having a run out for the Doncaster Rovers reserves, an event which finally took place this week. The Keepmoat Stadium was rocking with around 5,400 fans for the reserve match but they were ultimately left disappointed.
Not only was the match a boring 0-0 draw but Louis Tomlinson did not take to the field until just over the hour mark and then he just pranced around playing with his hair for the majority of his time on the pitch. Fans were still smiling though, until the final whistle went and Louis refused to stop and sign any autographs for the excited fans.
The build up to Louis Tomlinson playing for Doncaster Rovers reserves was huge and people all over the world were talking about it. Unfortunately for Louis they are now talking about it for all the wrong reasons. While we understand that Tomlinson cannot stand around signing hundreds of autographs, it would not have hurt him to stop and sign a few. Your fans are the reason that you are where you are Louis, please don't forget that.
Where you one of the fans at the Keepmoat Stadium to see Louis Tomlinson have a run out for Doncaster Rovers reserves? If so, what did you think of his performance?
