Who says that nice girls don't finish first? Lauren Conrad, star of the former MTV hit reality show The Hills, has definitely gone through her ups and downs during her stint as a reality star. She has lost best friendships and promising romantic relationships. But, through it all, she picked herself up and has since become one of the most successful young women to turn lemons into some deliciously refreshing lemonade.
Conrad penned her first novel, L.A. Candy, which proved major success as it soared to the top of the New York Times best-seller list. After that tremendous triumph, she launched her clothing line, L.C. Lauren Conrad, in which she collaborated with department store giant, Kohl's.
Currently, Conrad is becoming an online success with her website LaurenConrad.com. She focuses on everything from great fashion finds, to great recipes, to do-it-yourself arts and crafts, and much more. Many people refer to her as "the young Martha Stewart". She also just opened an online store, The Little Market, which specializes in handmade trinkets from women of various cultural backgrounds.
And not only is her professional life thriving, so is her personal life. She recently became engaged to musician William Tell, and reports state that they are looking forward to tying the knot pretty soon. It's evident that good girls can have it all. Congratulations, Lauren. Keep up the great work.
