Veronica Mars actress Kristen Bell recently welcomed her first child into the world, with partner Dax Shepard, when she gave birth to her baby daughter Lincoln. While Kristen is a very happy and proud mother, she has admitted that she struggled to come to terms with her changing body, as she gained weight during her pregnancy.
Bell told Redbook, "I'm like any other woman. All this evolved bulls**t that I'm telling you is my mantra - it's not something I practise naturally. I had to surrender to not worrying about the way I looked, how much I weighed, because that's just part of the journey of having a baby. I am not a woman whose self-worth comes from her dress size."
Kristen then went on to talk about balancing parenthood with her acting career, admitting that her family will always come first, "Lincoln will always be number-one. I still want a career... I think if you can cut that cord of obsessiveness, then you can work and be a good mother and wife," she added.
Kristen Bell was delighted when, earlier this year, it was confirmed that the Veronica Mars Kickstarter campaign had raised the necessary funds to make a Veronica Mars movie. The film has since been shot and Veronica Mars will open sometime in 2014
