Hollywood actor Joel Edgerton is one of those stars who always manages to appear in some fantastic movies, giving us some impressive performances along the way, without ever really getting the massive credit and recognition from the fans and critics, as being one of the best actors in the business, which there is no denying he is.
Anyway, Joel Edgerton will next appear on the big screen in the upcoming new movie Red Sparrow, which seems him starring alongside the wonderful Jennifer Lawrence. While Joel loved getting to work with such a talented actress, he has admitted that he has always been a fan of the spy genre and was delighted to get the chance to work on such a movie.
Edgerton was in attendance at the UK premiere for Red Sparrow, when he shared, "I've been interested in the world of being a spy since I was a kid. When I was 10 years old I had a spy kit. I had binoculars. I had a recording device. I was fascinated by that world. I have no idea why. I don't know if I was inspired by James Bond but I like the idea of danger."
As well as starring Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Lawrence, the Red Sparrow cast also includes the likes of Joely Richardson, Mary-Louise Parker, Jeremy Irons, Ciaran Hinds, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Charlotte Rampling, among others. Red Sparrow has been directed by Francis Lawrence, based on the screenplay that Justin Haythe developed from the Jason Matthews novel, with the movie set to open on March 1 in the UK and on March 2 in the US.
