Singer/actor Chris Brown is probably one of the most talented performers in the American entertainment industry but over the past several months people have not been able to appreciate his musical talent, his ability to dance or his abilty to act because of several questionable decisions that he has made in his personal life. The year 2014 started off looking very promising for Chris Brown as it looked like he might be on the road to resuscitating his career following his completion of the court ordered rehabiliation for anger management issues.
However, on February 14, 2014 it was announced that Chris Brown is being sued for allegedly being part of a gang beating on a basketball court. Most people upon hearing this news immediately think the worst but if some of the rumours emanating from the report and the comments of the individual who allegedly was beaten are true, it is starting to sound and look as if Chris Brown is being targeted for money. In this most recent case the lawyer of the alleged victim had sent Chris Brown a request for money and then after that was not provided they went public with their case. No criminal charges have been filed or were filed initially against Chris Brown.
Ironically, it was also recently announced that there is only one lawsuit remaining from the club brawl that occurred in 2012 between the entourage of Chris Brown and the artist Drake. The only lawsuit remaining is the one that involves his bodyguard who was hit with a bottle and required 25 stitches to close the wound. All the other individuals who were involved in the suit have settled their cases. Again, the unresolved issue seems to be ... money.
The singer/actor Chris Brown has made some bad decisions in his personal life but that does not mean he should be subject to people trying to extort him for money throughout his career because of his past mistakes.
