The hit television series The X Factor has made a number of stars over the years and continues to give us new and successful stars on a yearly basis. One such person who benefited from being on The X Factor was singer Diana Vickers, who has gone on to have a relatively successful career.

With the release of her new album just around the corner, Diana has spoken about how The X Factor has changed in recent years. Diana says that the show is now too focussed on the glitz and glamour, whereas when she was on it, they let the artists grow and develop naturally.
Vickers told Digital Spy, "I think the great thing about when I was in it, was the fact it was a lot more organic. It wasn't showbizzy or celeby - it was about taking someone like me with not a lot going on and really just wanting to do music and giving me that chance to grow."

Diana Vickers, who was a semifinalist on The X Factor when Alexandra Burke won, released her brand new single Cinderella earlier this week. Meanwhile, the new Diana Vickers album, which is titled Music to Make Boys Cry, is released on September 15.
