There was once a time when it was much more impressive for an actor or actress to enjoy a successful movie career, than it was to be in a hit television series, with better writing and production values on the big screen. However, in recent years, we have seen a number of hugely impressive television shows, which has led to plenty of big name Hollywood stars making the move to the small screen.
Over the course of the past few years, we have seen double Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey starring in the hit series House of Cards, while Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry stars in the sci-fi series Extant. Now it has been reported that another big name Hollywood star has decided to make the move to the small screen, as it has been claimed that Amanda Seyfried has been cast in the new season of Twin Peaks.
There has been a lot of talk surrounding Twin Peaks recently, with some fans unsure of the need to bring the hit 90s show back, while others cannot wait to see what their favourite characters have been up to. While there is no official word on who Amanda Seyfried will play in Twin Peaks, there has been speculation that it could be as the daughter of Coop (Kyle MacLachlan) and Annie (Heather Graham). We guess we will just have to wait and see.
Twin Peaks last aired way back in 1991 and the new season of the show is expected to premiere on Showtime at some point in 2016. It will be interesting to see how well the Twin Peaks return does!
