There has been a lot of talk about the new Baywatch movie so far and as the cast continues to get bigger, we begin to get even more excited about the prospect of the film. We already know that Dwayne Johnson is going to star in the Baywatch film, with the actor previously confirming that Zac Efron also has a role in the project.
Now, another star has joined the cast of the Baywatch movie, cast in one of the famous roles from the past. Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that his San Andreas co-star Alexandra Daddario is going to take on the role of Summer in the Baywatch movie, a role which will see the actress playing the love interest of Zac Efron.
Johnson revealed, "IT'S OFFICIAL: Want to welcome the talented and gorgeous @alexannadaddario to the cast of #BAYWATCH for the role of Summer. Alex is a one of kind woman (I know from experience) and can't wait for you guys to see her own the role. The female roles of #BAYWATCH have become extremely hot properties around Hollywood and as promised, the quality women we'll cast are stepping into these roles to have fun and make them iconic for the world to enjoy."
He added, "The #BaywatchFamily so far consists of a tatted up bald guy named Rock, the cool, yet extremely unattractive Zac Efron, the talented and gorgeous Alexandra Daddario... and some big casting announcements coming soon. And juuuuust wait til you guys see who we cast for the iconic role of CJ Parker."
As many of you will be well aware, Summer was originally played by Nicole Eggert, while CJ Parker is the role that made Pamela Anderson a global superstar. We cannot wait to see who they cast in that iconic role. While there is no release date for the Baywatch movie, it has been claimed that the film will begin production early in 2016.
