Alexander Ludwig, whose known for the movies "The Hunger Games" and "Grown Ups 2", has a new movie coming out on Christmas Day called "The Lone Survivor". The film also stars Mark Wahlberg and Eric Bana. The movie is based on a true story about four Navy SEALS who are sent on a mission (Operation Red Wings) to neutralize and stabilize the region by disrupting the Anti-Coalition Militia, a group of Islamic fundamentalists. The group becomes isolated and ambushed by Taliban forces. The story portrays strength, heroism, friendships and hard moral decisions that come with war.
At the New York Premiere, Alexander Ludwig spoke to The Source Magazine about how he got the role saying, "One of the scenes was the Napoleon Dynamite dance because as a rookie, as a Navy SEAL, they make you do dances And they haze you."
He continued by stating that working with Peter Berg was "incredible, he put his heart and soul into this project." Ludwig's character is the youngest Navy Seal named Shane Patton who idolizes Marcus Luttrell, Mark Wahlberg's character.
Although Alexander Ludwig has played differing roles, one as an aggressive killer and the other as a frat guy, it will be interesting to see how he stands in such an emotional piece against acting heavy weights Eric Bana and Mark Wahlberg.
