Tennis can be a funny old game and, over the many years of the sport, we have seen some of the best players to grace to court, managing to go their whole career without actually getting their hands on a Grand Slam title. They have often got so close to landing one of the big ones but always seem to just come up short when it really matters.
Which brings us to the beautiful Polish tennis ace Agnieszka Radwanska, who has been among the top 10 players in the world since way back in 2011, reaching a career high of number two in the world, while she is currently ranked at number five. Agnieszka came into the pro game with a lot of promise, having been so successful as a junior but, while she has enjoyed a relative amount of success, she has yet to land a Grand Slam, something she hopes will change in 2016.
The closest Agnieszka Radwanska has come to winning a Grand Slam title, was back in 2012, when she lost to Serena Williams in the Wimbledon final, giving a fairly good account of herself along the way. That is the only Grand Slam final the 26-year-old star has been in but she is hoping that things are going to change in 2016.
Just recently, Agnieszka Radwanska won the WTA Finals in Singapore, giving herself hope that she can carry this good result into 2016 and the Grand Slam events. There is no denying Agnieszka has the talent to become a future Grand Slam winner but the competition is fiercer than ever before. Good luck Aga, we will cheer you on in the coming year!
